Updates: Jenn Im meetup, birthdays!

Hello there!

It's been a while since I last made an update post so I thought why not do one today!

Sidney's Birthday Dinner - 18 October

Although Sidney's birthday was not until 1st November, many people would be overseas during that time so she decided to have an early birthday dinner. I was invited as one of her 3 close friends hehe and yea she opened her presents and she looked so happy it made me happy ((: Me and the others pranked her by wrapping her presents like a gejillion times haha! We had loads of fun eating at Swensens, taking loads of pictures AND EATING ICE CREAM CAKE!! omg if ice cream cake is not your childhood I feel sad for you haha!

WTA Tennis Tournament - 21 October

One of my classmates, Jacelyn was super sweet to offer me a free ticket with her and a few others to watch the WTA tennis tournament. It was amazing and we ended up being there for almost 7 hours, leaving close to midnight. It was my first time watching a tennis tournament and I really didn't know the sport that well but I thought it would be a good experience (: I went with Jacelyn, Ler Ting and Kayleigh and I really had the time of my life there with them.

Last day & outing with 2E3 - 23 October

That day was the last official day we had as a class. We went to the Discovery Centre to learn about the army and the National Service and how important it is. It was a great trip and I learnt so much and I think those who serve our country should have all the recognition they can get. After the outing, our class took loads of pictures together and had so many hugs. I also had lunch with the "Royal Court"and then went window shopping with them. It made me really sad to leave such an amazing class behind but I am also excited for what's next to come.

Tammie's Birthday Surprise - 27 October

A day before Tammie's birthday, we had Interact(our CCA) and we decided to surprise Tammie. It was not a smooth surprise and I'm quite sure Tammie knew what was going on even though she insisted she didn't HAHA! But yea we surprised her and she was as cute and amazing as usual (: She does so much for me and the others and I'm glad we managed to celebrate her birthday.

Jenn Im's Meet&Greet - 31 October

This entire event just made me super sad and disappointed. A lot of plans were changed last minute and I thought I'd be able to meet her but I ended up reaching late and the line was SO long. At least 30 people didn't get to meet her and I was one of them :( It really just made me so disappointed and I couldn't think about anything else that day. I really wanted to meet her. She's one of those "public figures" that I truly care about and love. It was just not my day. Luckily, I managed to pass her my letter I wrote for her and snagged some pictures.

President's Star Charity 2014 - 2 November

My family managed to get free tickets to the President's Star Charity this year and I must say it was a pretty good experience. The performances were breathtaking as well as hilarious and it made my night! I managed to see a lot of celebrities up close and watched The Sam Willows live. can we just talk about how hot the Kheng siblings are???! (Benjamin Kheng is such a cutie)

I brought out my inner rock vibes with this outfit haha!

THERE WAS THIS CRAZY ASS WOMAN FROM JAPAN WHO COULD BALANCE A FRIGGIN FEATHER ON ALL THESE BRANCHES/STICKS OR WHATEVER THEY ARE LIKE IM SERIOYS THOSE ARE STICKS AND SHE BALANCED IT ON HER HEAD AND THEN ON ANOTHER STICK EVERYONE IN THE STUDIO COULD NOT BREATHE.

We met Yuna and if you don't know her... where have you been all your life??!
Yuna is one of the biggest Asian artists who has influence abroad, including the US. And funnily enough, her mother was my mothers classmate last time and they introduced us to Yuna. Her voice is amazing and she's so humble. Definitely someone I look up to a lot.

Shunji Matsuo "Makeover Magic" - 3 November

In case you guys didn't know, my beautiful mother is almost reaching her 56 birthday. And so she was qualified as one of the "hair models" for this event. Shunji Matsuo is a famous Japanese hair artist and he wanted to show that age is just a number. So a bunch of 50 or more year olds went ahead and got their hair done. My sister, myself, my aunt, my cousin and some of my mom's friends went and supported my mother. The hair styles were quite crazy but at the end of the day I really admired the youthful energy and good sport that these "seniors" had.
THE WOMAN ON THE RIGHT IS LIKE 50 SOMETHING AND SHE POLE DANCES. What even...

My mom is a beauty ((:

We had some nice Singaporean food after!

Megan's Birthday Party! - 9 November

I know... loads of birthdays haha! I was not the closest to Megan but she was a sweetheart to have invited me to her birthday party. I got so much closer to her and made some new friends as well. There were a lot of people there and I'd be lying if I said I wasen't uncomfortable and awkward but all in all it was so fun AND THE CAKE WAS SUPERB!

Thanks to these lovelies for spending the time with me (:

Movies & Baking With Sidney - 11, 12 November
My homegirl Sidney came back to Singapore after 2 weeks in China and I missed her loads so we decided to go for a movie. We also had prata for lunch and it was super inexpensive for such good traditional food! We ate so much mostly because Sidney missed Singaporean food a lot.

Sidney polishing off our dessert at Black Ball (:

The next day, we went for a run together like old times and also baked at her house!!!

The frosting sucked and decided to overflow all over the place.
Going home from Sidney's~

FOS Prize Giving Ceremony - 13 November

We won Gold for our Friends Of Singa project! Super sad that the whole thing is over, I love my team! I got interviewed as well by a super big camera it made me so intimidated! And I was talking rubbish HAHA

After that, Tammie and I went to ToysRus and messed around haha! I also had lunch with my sister before watching Big Hero with Chloe, Claire, Nicole and Xiao Xuan!
