Roller Coasters!

Hey there! How have you been? :)

I've been really busy trying to edit all the footage from my Melbourne trip as well as continue blogging for you guys.
I thought i'd continue with Day 2 of my Melbourne trip but since I went to USS a few days ago, I wanted to write about this topic for today.

If you are a frequent reader of my blog, a few posts ago,  I wrote a post on trying new things.
(Check it out... New Things)

In that blogpost, I wrote about how much I wanted to step out of my comfort zone and also discussed what made me want to do that. What inspired me and what really hit a nerve to set me thinking.
I also included a few things I wanted to do to 'step out of my comfort zone'. One of them I mentioned was going to USS and trying out the roller coasters.

I have always had motion sickness. I got dizzy really easily and I even felt like puking when braiding someone's hair in a moving car. Going on a roller coaster that reaches speeds up to 90kph is not much of a comfort.

The fear of these high-speed contraptions also didn't make it any better. Before yesterday, just the thought of them made me shiver. But that all changed when I took a step forward yesterday...

I walked into USS being quite taken aback about how relaxed I was being. I was freaking excited and hyper for whatever reason and to be honest, I liked the feeling.

When planning our route and the rides we were going to take, I just told them 'Just go in one huge circle around the place and take every single ride we come across'. Yes I was that excited.

The first ride(well not really first but the first thing we did was go to the Steven Spielberg: Light Camera Action show & it was not a ride so...)  we took was the Transformers 4D ride and no better way to start off the day in USS than that. It was amazing with the 4D effects and the moving vehicle. It was just so real. I would be lying if I wasn't screaming and cursing(don't worry I don't use the F word) AND laughing the entire way.
I left the ride just blabbering about how awesome it was.

The next ride we were off to was, yes, the one and only Battlestar Galactica Roller coaster.

BUT IT WAS CLOSED.
WHAT?
WHAT?
WHAT?
yea, I was disappointed because if I took that ride, I wouldn't be scared of any other roller coaster in USS :(
But yea the next time I go, I'll ride it.

The next ride was... The mummy ride. I have heard many many many scary stories about this ride and all about how there is fire and mummy's that jump out at you and how the roller coaster stops abruptly and goes backwards.

Well, most of that is true except the mummy's don't really jump out at you. They are just there so theres no 'shock' factor.

IT WAS SO FUN! I was so scared that I was not scared about taking the ride. Ironic but true :)

This was when we were at the entrance of the mummy ride...

After the mummy ride, we went to the Jurassic Park and took the water ride as well as watched the show in Waterworld. I have taken the water ride AND watched the show before so it wasn't anything new.

But something that really caught my attention was when we were having a little break to snack a little,(the turkey leg & corn dogs were so friggin yummy omg)

there was a truck that came around the corner and there was a dinosaur in it. Yes, I said it, a dinosaur. But of course in this time and age, we know that real and natural dinosaurs are extinct and obviously cannot be found in the world again. However, this lady hopped out of the truck and started treating this dinosaur as if it was real and capable of danger like any dinosaur. The 'dinosaur' was obviously some sort of robot and it's limbs weren't even properly attached but the way the lady was speaking, saying things like 'this is a _____ dinosaur, her name is_____ and this she is my favourite dinosaur because not only is she the youngest female ____ dinosaur here, but she's also an alpha female.', it actually was really really convincing and I had to snap myself out of thinking that it was real for a few moments. So yea, I just thought it was interesting as to how something as simple and obvious as a robot dinosaur, can so easily trick and confuse our minds into thinking different.

We also went into the castles and stuff and I saw Elmo and cookie monster and Marilyn Monroe and the fairy godmother(she looked so magical).

But yes, that was my day in USS. But at the end of the day, this wasn't just a blogpost on how my day in USS went, its an achievement that I wish to be able to share with you guys. I have wanted to get over this fear and try something I never had guts to do before so I guess this is one obstacle I have passed.

No matter how small or unimportant it might seem, its a beginning to a great step forward towards being infinite.

Thank you guys for reading and I'll talk to you soon :)
LOVE YA!

Signing out...
